    i try to do it every other day because im working on sprint speed...idk if you need it as much if you are training for xc and long distance but i know youre training for sprints so it will definitely help (leg press, squats, etc) and general arm strengthening excercises help your arms get less fatigued during a race

    i am taking my first ACTUAL rest day of summer tomorrow...i just know im gonna get injured but everyday i cant help but run.

    anyway, plyometrics.

    rf, do you do core every day?

    Yesterday ended up being my rest day for the week, I didn't get anything done. So today I did 40 min of hills, with a 1/2 mile warm-up and cooldown. It was hard. Ill probably bike hard later then do strength and core.

    I do core every other day because I know in weightlifting you only do it every other day because of muscle tear. I think the same thing applies to core work.

    Same here, I don't think its great to do core every day. Besides, just doing 500sit-ups or crunches as core doesn't seem the best. Usually my core is a ton of different excercises, it takes me like 20-30 minutes.

    7 easy. I didn't get lost in Central Park today! I also saw a lady pooping in the street yesterday. It was crazy gross.

    I only do core 3 times a week (sometimes less Sad ), but my core work involves like 15 different exercises. Crunches don't cover everythign.

    rest day i need it mentally because i had the worst day ever at work...me and another co-worker and like a head on fight, but he was the one in the wrong so he is going to get fired and i am being praised..but still a really bad day

    edit: i am kinda in a rut with my running, just getting bored with it, not getting much done, so i decided i needed some new routes. so i drove to my gym (the next town over) and started my run from there. i just followed some road for as long as it went and i got to 16 minutes when it ended. so then i ran back (total 32 minutes, not sure of distance) and lifted.

    She just squatted down and started pooping next to a building on 3rd Avenue, so I guess it wasn't really "in the street," but still... She also had a massive bag of cat food which I could only assume was lunch.
