Re: The Rant Thread
Ugh. I hate how it's been 5 months since my my ex-gf broke up with me, and I'm really still not over her. Sometimes it's ok, but then I see something that reminds me of her, or a song comes on the radio and I'm like "shit."

That's good. I haven't done that yet, although I probably should. The thing that annoys me the most is that it was entirely my fault that we broke up, cause I was really really stupid and I would give anything to take that mistake back. I only truly realized what I had once I lost it.

haha really. they always post stuff like:
"ashley, I'm really really really sorry and I don't want to fight anymore"
or
"peas and corn...ahhhahaha inside joke!!"
or
"seriously I'm sick of all this bull sh.. and we'll never be friends again! F YOU!!!"
I mean really, they have to have more a life then that. It's all so dramatic. Maybe it's just me and my friends but we never have any of that drama in our group. Everyone likes everyone

Re: The Rant Thread
I'm so sick of some of the girls in my class. Prom is still 2 months away and yet they're already fighting. One girl got a dark blue dress and then another girl got a dark blue dress too. So now the first girl is mad at the 2nd girl. Then I guess another girl picked out a dark blue dress and ordered it and another girl is also thinking of getting a dark blue dress that is similar to the 3rd girl's dress.
And that's all I heard about today. It's just prom, it's just a dress, get over it.
And then they send about $500 on a dress for one night. It's all really stupid and annoying.

OMMMG.. I hate people like that too. Its so sad what todays "problems" have come too.
yeah, and spending that much for a piece of clothing that you'll probably only wear once is just so stupid and wasteful to me.

Prom is such a big deal to most of the girls in my school. And they always have to do a serious, romantic theme when half the couples are just friends anyway. Our president pretty much told us what we're doing for prom and that's that.

People who make a huge deal about being vegan or a vegetarian. Like this one girl on my myspace (I know...) who is actually only a pescatarian since she eats fish, feels very vegetarian today.
Its like a fad to them, I dunno it just really bothers me how it has to be KNOWN that you dont eat meat.
eh

Re: The Rant Thread
My friend is having a party. It will be the first time she's invited some of us because it's going to involve alcohol. Some of my friends were all excited about it because it'll be a 1st or 2nd time drinking for them...me it could be my first...then we have other friends who don't want to be left out who are now planning on going.
My cousin calls me up & tells me about her birthday party she's having. Of course I'm going to my cousin's...but she's upset because of our other friends going to the other party. She said that she's lost all respect for our friends that are going to the drinking party, and that the same will happen towards me if she ever finds out about me drinking in high school.
I'm going to do the right thing. I'm NOT going to lose my cousin's respect & I know I can keep a few of my friends from going if I don't. We don't need to be dumb in high school no matter how fun it might end up being. I'll stay a drinking virgin for a while longer. =)
Ok I guess this isn't a rant but I'm putting it here.

Drinking leads to stupid things. I wouldn't respect anyone less because of moderate, social drinking, but a lot of people over indulge.

Re: The Rant Thread
Drinking usually leads to hilarious things. I've never had any bad experiences, and I'm sure alot of my most treasured teenage memories will be the things which happen, when you can only remember half the night haha.
But not respecting people because they go to a party with alcohol seems a bit thick. Especially your own cousin, that seems pretty poor. If it were my cousin, I'd tell them to stuff off, regardless if I drink alcohol or not haha. But good on you for choosing not to go, nothing worse than someone who does it for the trend, or just because their friends are. Just go whenever your ready.
Is that the HK sevens? Awesome fun, sevens is awesome. Wish I could go to watch it live. Especially last year, seeing who won it

Re: The Rant Thread
Today at school we had a motivational speaker come in and talk to us.
He told us about how he did drugs in high school, dropped out senior year, killed a man while high at age 21, tried to OD and commit suicide, failed, confessed to the murder of his best friend, went to jail for 9 years & parol for 10years, got married, lost 2 kids to birth defects, wife had 2 kids but they have heart problems & one of them has to take meds twice a day or risking dying without them, and then he got some tests taken to realize the drugs messed up his sperm and creates kids with issues.
The guy had a good message in the sense that he screwed up big and now his kids pay the price for him screwing up, but it just ticks me off that he was only in jail for 9 years! He killed a man!
My dad has been in jail for 13 years on a case that had no evidence...only one person's testimony.
This guy's casse had a dead freakin body!
Things like this just piss me off.

Re: The Rant Thread
i'm going to preface this by saying i know that my problems are really insignificant.
i'm sort of pissed right now because i have shin splints and i've been cross-training for two weeks but it's still not gone and now a bunch of other injuries are popping up and i've been icing like crazy (and i even got ultrasounds on my shins). i really want to run the workouts again, but that's not going to happen for a while now, and i know i shouldn't run until i'm better because it's winter track and it's not important, but i want to just tell my coach i'm all better and pound the workouts.
and now when i go back i won't be the #1 girl again, and i know that it's really stupid and petty and i should just use that for motivation or only think about my season, but i'm still upset. and i really wanted to get a record, but it's probably not going to happen now (if it ever was), and one of the other girls will get it instead. and i'm a horrible person and i should just be happy for them when that happens or use that for motivation, but i'm too busy feeling sorry for myself. i hate that i feel territorial of running
and i have so much homework but i don't want to do any of it. plus i feel fat because i ate a bazillion cookies.
and i hate that i get upset over nothing.

oh no I feel the same. I see these girls on my team that never have anything to do after school, so I see them running by all the time and its frustrating that I know they're getting better while I'm stuck after school mentoring, tutoring or at meeting for something. I really don’t want them to show me up but I know they deserve it since they've been working harder then me this winter. gahhh
I feel bad, but you cant really control your emotions
I almost want to skip track this season (I might have to if I get surgery on my legs anyways ) but I feel obligated to join..
