I just got back from my last exam, I'm officially on Christmas break until January 5th!

I might go for an easy 3 later, depending on how I feel.

Ugh! It was poring rain and freezing out. Like an idiot I tried to do a decent 4 miles and had to stop at 2 miles because I lost all feeling in my body. Crying or Very sad This week has not been good with milage, I hope my trainer doesn't get mad. I was going to run the other 2 on the treadmill, but I dont have one. Then I asked my mom ifI could do the other two on the elliptical, and she said that I was obsessing over running and that it wouldnt matter! Am I? I dont think I am...UGH! I'm so confused and angry at her!

    ugh, totally,
my mom just doesn't understand. my dad is a little better but my mom is worse.
she's all like "well violet when we went to your physical..i think that's what the doctor was getting at is that you might be a little too obsessive over running" and i was just like "um, noo she thought it was good that i run...and plus mom, i know people who train way harder then me and they're fine...like ali, he runs/exercises at least 3 hours a day" and shes just like "well, i'm not going to argue with you but i think he might have a bit of a problem too."
and its soo stupid cuz we had a snowday on tuesday and i had to beg her to let me go running with some friends that i met up with. plus, the prices on my gym member ship are going up so in january my mom said she was going to cancell it! grrr, i'm soo totally confused and angry with my mom also.
sorrry that was a total rant..but Ria, i'm totally with ya on this one.

any dailies...i'm not even sure yet because i can't run outside today so i was going to go to the gym to run on the treadmill but my dad drove into town to run some errands and didn't even tell me so now i don't have a ride. (we live a little far out of town so its hard to just go in whenever i want...like i have to coordinate with when my parents run errrands.)
so i don't even know yet...my brother is coming home from college tonight for xmas break...maybe he'll drive me? eee i hope so.

sorry, that was long and mostly all rant...i just had to let that out. better i do it here than talk back to my parents and get grounded...

^^At least I'm not the only one! I feel the same way! No one in my family runs, so they dont really get it how I feel when I can't run.
Oh, and about the no ride thing, once you start driving, everything will get better! Believe me, I don't know what I did before I had a car.

I ran today! Yey! I ran in the school though...but still! I ran! It's been almost 2 weeks and it felt Ah....MAZING. =]
I probably only did about 20 minutes of running, 15 minutes of bike, lifted a little, & then my Coach & I went to our track shed and got some hurdles to take back to the school.

When we went to get the hurdles, I was kinda nervous about the depth of the snow since we've had quite a few snow storms lately. So, I was really excited, still in my shorts, running shoes, but I did have my coat, and I just jumped towards the fence because there was a lot of snow and the fence was about 7 feet from where the car was parked. When I landed, I found out how deep the snow REALLY was. It about covered my thighs!!! & I was in shorts! I had to walk about 15 meters to the shed, get the hurdles, then make my way back to the car WITH the hurdles in the thigh deep snow. It was cold...no, it was FREEZING! Totally worth it though because I get to work on my hurdles tomorrow!!! Yey! stick dance

OH same here, I'm 16 and still cant drive (although my mom finds me mature enough to take dr.ed this summer Neutral ) Maybe next year around winter time I'll be driving. I'm too high up to just walk to town, and I'm not allowed to run around my area (too wooded are creepy). SO i'm always at the mercy of my mom to let me run, and I cant always do that. I hate offseason for this reason. But my brother is coming home in a couple of weeks too so maybe he can drive me ..haha

    I deff. feel your pain.

    6 miles, 42:02
Was about 35-40, freezing rain, strong wind, of course most of the team wore shorts (one kid wore a t-shirt) so most of us finished with no feeling in feet, legs, or face. WOOHOO! now if it would just start snowing instead of this rain crap.
