    If it's a training run, usually a bananna. I always have oatmeal with peanut butter and brown sugar before a morning race, though.

    before a race in the morning i have a bagel and gatorade

    it depends.

    during summer i don't eat anything because i run early in the morning. when i come back i normally eat some special k or other cereal like that.

    before races i eat wheat toast with pb and a banana for breakfast. a turkey sandwich on dry and a lottttttt of water.

    Mornings is always started with oatmeal. I don't really have much of a lunch except maybe a sandwich and some fries. Thats probably why spring track was so great this year.

    like half an energy bar an hour before my race.
    And i always make sure i don’t drink too much water before my race...like right before. I hate the liquid sloshing around me while running!!! Ahhh!!! i go crazy!!

    Bannana and water before a race, mostly cereal before a workout. But it should also be noted that the wild BagoXC25 has also been notorious for eating hamburgers during runs as to not miss his dinner.

    before a race like in indoor or outdoor just to fill my stomach a bit if i was hungry i would have a bagel and drink a bottle of water on the way to the meet. or if it were a regular summer race then i would eat toast and a banana, nothing much.after the race i could care less what i eat im a fatty mcft pants when it comes to food. me and my friends walked 3 blocks to get candy and icecream after a race in the middle of winter.

    I ate a half a bag of cheesy chex mix today before I ran. I felt fine and my HR was low. But usually I drink a lot of water and some fruit or something. Not apples though.

    our coach tells us to not eat apples within like 3 hours cause they give you cramps.

    one time i ate an orange before a race and i like died not even kidding i had such bad cramps and i puked after the race and i never puke..its was so bad. my coach said it was probably all the citrus or something idk...but it killed.

    yeah once i ate an orange before a run because it was the only food i had with me because at lunch i wasn't hungry enough to eat it, and someone was like your gonna die eating that before you run. and im like im gonna die if i dont eat something, because that was around the time i would get really bad stomach pains and the only thing that felt good was heating pad or eating something small. but i didn't even notice the orange on the run.

    at races I usually have a granola bar (nature valley trail mix) or a bagel w/ pb. Before training runs, I just eat a ton right before I run because I'm trying to postpone it. then I go on the run and dit sucks and I get so mad at myself for ruining it. Mad

    But on a good day, i run in the morning and have oatmeal w/ a ton of blueberries and raspberries stirred in and sprinkled w/ brown sugar. yummy. and it doesn't ruin my run!

    wow. I've been eating apples as part of my lunch at track camp for the past 4 days. I guess different foods affect different people.

    I don't like to run right before I eat. I've had not-so-pleasant experiences with certain foods before running (even a good few hours before a race and even as much as like eating at 8 PM and racing at 10 PM)...
    I need to try and eat more things before I run though, I think.

    Right now I know two things are fine: Granola bars and yogurt..both sit with me perfectly well and it's what I usually eat before running.
