I went running today, and about 3 and a half miles into my 5 mile run, there is this long curvy downhill in the woods. I get there and I've been moving pretty well all day (for me at least, probably ~7:10-7:15 pace at that point) so I decide I'll pretty much kill the downhill, and probably end up running like 6:30 pace on the downhill. Well, I'm coming around this turn pretty fast, and there is a thick tree line on the margin of the road, and I see a biker coming up the hill, and I hear him yell "RUNNER UP!". I jump onto the grass shoulder of the road and let him by, thinking, that was weird. like 2 seconds later, I see another biker coming up, and start hearing a ton more people yelling "RUNNNER UP".

I go around the bend and there are like 30+ hardcore looking bikers yelling "RUNNER UP" all in a row.

I couldn't stop myself from loling.

Stop accusing people. Plus if you read what PTZ wrote it says he was "moving well" a.k.a. not going at a strenuous pace.

7:10? Most of my easy runs aren't even that fast...but on topic, lol@bikers. The Tour was last month, and the 1-month period in which everyone who owns a bike pretends to be Lance should be over by now. The ones I see are sooo serious and act like they're in better shape than me because I'm running at 8 mph and they're biking at 10 mph, when in reality biking at 10mph is equivalent to walking at 2-3 mph in terms of intensity

his pace is irrelevant to this story....

but i really hate when people get in the way of my run...especially when im trying to cross the street! i get mad if theres no break in the cars so i basically just run into the traffic and wait for them to stop
