Ran in the USA 15K Championships today. Did a 1:09:56, about 2 minutes slower than what I was looking for. My teammate (14 YO) burned up the race in an age course record of 53:27. Shocked

    & I'm down for the count. =(
Our team went to a track clinic together today & while doing plyos, I sprained my ankle super bad. It was SOOO embarrassing! I fell to the ground and it was instant tears. =( One of my guy friends rushed over, scooped me up instantly, ran with me in his arms to my coach, & then he kept telling me that it wasn't broken & couldn't be. The coach in charge of the clinic felt so bad the rest of the day... he wouldn't come talk to me after the incident because he wasn't sure if he'd be able to not cry. Oh & like 15 minutes before my ankle disaster, I had taken 3rd/30 some girls in the Sprint Off. Right behind 2 girls that had made it to state last year.
But anyways, I'm out for a few weeks. =( It's going to be HELL.

^ aww man that really sucks =( Stay positive about it though, supposedly it helps speed up recovery?

Rest day today, had an chiropractor appt (Totally disagree with what they do) but its just for deep tissue stuff. OOHHHHH mann it really hurts, I kinda wanted to punch her but it feels good now. Plus I got a puppy, greyhound named ziggy. Its kinda cute Very Happy

^^Holy crap that is scary! SO, I had SAT's this morning. There was a super ass long line and I ended up not getting to start the test until 8:30 when it should have started at 8. Oh, and I forgot my calculator so I had to call my mom to bring it before the test started, lol. I hope I did ok. Anyway, then I didnt get out of that until 1:30, only had time to stuff 4 little pretzels in my mouth to go to practice. Oh, and I guess I'm captain(?), anyway only 3 other people showed up, those bastards! Lol, but we ran this XC course a diff way, so it was around 3 miles and our distance coach ran behind me the whole time and I didnt want him to beat me, so I ran really fast but didnt realize it until I was done and our other coach was like "Shit! That was fast!" Lol, and then I drove home and went to work. This day was crazy!

Nothing. Wanted to run in the evening after the funeral, and reception, but I was exhausted and took a 3 hour nap before supper. Too much driving + too much stress + not enough sleep = Tired runnerdude.

iWearNikes, that happended in trails in the marsh in my area a few years ago. I don't think the girl was raped but some guy jumped out of the bushes and stabbed her. Now they have like a police motarcycle ride through like every 2 hours or something.
and hurdle gurl; stay positive! I hope it heals up real soon. we're all here on your favvvorite site RT so if you can't run at least you can read about running Wink

^^^ Thanks. I was thinking about that actually about how retarded I'm going to feel the next few weeks being on here even though I won't be running. =( It'll be good though. We don't have an outdoor meet for 3 1/2 weeks. All I'll be missing is the heavy duty training. Be praying for me everybody for a speedy recovery! I have big goals this season & now I'm going to be behind.
