    I'll see how I feel after 8 hours of work, and how much time I have this evening. Probably between 4 and 7 easy. My mom has a terrible cough, and I'm REALLY hoping I don't come down with it.

    xc practice...
    am: 13 mile long run at a pretty good pace..longest i ever ran
    In between runs did pylos.
    pm: 1 mile warm up to the xc course..then ran the course doing 3 minutes at an easy pace then 1 minute at 5k race pace and so on till we finished the corse
    17 miles on the day

    i don't think this person should limit their training volume based on prs, i just think that someone's longest run ever shouldn't be followed by a fartlek later in the day

    Thats why in the 90s we won 9 out of 10 state championships.

    maybe that was a good workout for the team as a whole, but it wasn't a good workout for you personally. the best thing to do after your longest run ever is to rest.
