40th or higher. Our cross country team has 60 girls on it, and I'm not that fast at shorter distance events.

Hopefully top 5. If we just went by where I was last year I would be 2 or 3, but that probably won't happen.

I should probably be between 3 and 5, depending on how much time I can take off of my 5k (if I stay at the same pace, which I won't, I'll be 5th). We usually have between 25 and 30 girls, but a lot of them quit (or stop working) by the time the season actually rolls around.

welll, number 1 would be nice, but realistically, anything better than #6 is good. But I've been doing way more running this summer than any of my teammates, so #1 would really be nice....

i really want to make varisty (top 7), but 6 of the spots are pretty much a given and the 7th is between me and 3 other guys. we have to battle all season.

Well my school has over 3500 people, and xc is one of the very few sports you don't have to try out for, so that's why it's so popular.Pinthin wrote:whenhen wrote:40th or higher. Our cross country team has 60 girls on it, and I'm not that fast at shorter distance events.

Our team is pretty big too... at least, it starts out big, and then people stop coming. Freshman year we had 60 people come to our first practice to officially sign up, but not that many people kept coming... so really there were only like 35-40 ppl.

I always thought we were slow for the amount of people we have at my school (2200), but I guess not.

Dam some of your schools you people go to are dam big, lol my school only has 1240 people and thats middle school and high school combined. On my team i'm def #2 (sad considering how slow my times are). Atm i'm trying to be gut out the #1 spot, last year I was the #4 guy but this year I moved up cause last years #3 hasn't really been practicing lately and our former #2 guy is out for a week and a half cause he got surgery for a tumor on his cheek.

three other girls and i will be finishing between 1-4 all the time im sure.
considering i have a stress fracture right now, 4 would be fine with me.
but come track, i will be #1. :]

I'm going for number 1 but yeah my team is really small. The good news is that we might have some girls out for cross country this year.
Last year for girls we had one junior high girl and me. We had 4 girls at practice today and I think another one is coming tommorow.
