is your team close?

what are yall's teams like? are you close, and do you like the dynamic?

my team changed so much this year, and it's going to be even weirder when the seniors leave. during cross country the team was so close and we were a giant family even though we never hung out in school. now distance is a mess because there's no leadership and a bunch of drama, and next it'll be strange because everyone left will be good friends inside of school and i can't decide if that'll be good or bad.

Most people on the team hang out together outside of school. Most of the people who don't live in residence are roommates with people on the team.

Yeah our xc team is pretty close but I think our swim team is a lot closer with all the after school stuff we do together. The track team is wayyyy to big (over 100) to have that family feel.

our girls distance team is kinda close. but there are a few people who have problems sometimes. lol. they were both going for the #1 spot during cross. & we have a senior that loves drama, she always tries starting something. but other than that we're good ohh & there's this girl that is always complaining that something hurts. so she tries getting out of workouts. now her back hurts, she's been out for a week or so & the rest of the team is pretty happy. lol.

our distance team is basically our xc, so were really close, alhough we don't hang out as much during track

i've got 2 of my best friends on track and xc. and i'm really close to all the guys except for like 3. we only have a couple girls, but im pretty good friends with around half of them. everyone on xc is pretty close, and on track, all the ppl that ran xc hang out together, and the rest are kinda of scattered in little groups.

Our XC team was really close, seeing as there was only 11 of us all together, lol. we had parties at eachothers houses before meets and every day was awsome with them.
As for the track team....uhhhh....well, I'm the captain so I try to be friends with everyone on the team, but there is definantly a division. There is only 12 people on the team, and half of them are freshman who think they can be sprinters and then half way through are warm up start to walk...like COME ON! The other half are all jrs. and most of us are distance/jumpers, so we are really close and kinda stay away from the freshman.

Our xc team was VERY close. Just about everyone was dating someone on the team, but we still were like one massive family. Our team does many trust excersies thru out the season (Trust falls from 5ft tall blocks, cheerleading tosses).We had one incident in which made part of the team closer, but yet it also ended up making everyone want to exclude one person. It's all good though. She deserved it.Our coach kinda got left out of the closeness too after the "incident".

My track team is pretty close too. We are made up of a bunch of groups of friends. We aren't as tight as the xc team since girls do have a bit more drama, but we are close. I'm probably one of the only ones that is fully comfortable with every single person on the team however. We do a ton of team bonding activities too in track.

yea my cross country team is very close we all hangout and go out to breakfast. um track is still pretty good the girls team is close we all get along well.. but after the seniors leave this year it will be a bit different for both cross country and track unfortunately, everything will be a bit disoriented.
