Re: How fast were your parents?
my dad was pretty fast at track. started off as sprints then moved up. then he tried out for tennis and was one away from making the high school team. by then it was too late to try out for track that season. he ran on his own then and I think through college and young years of work, and then stopped for a bit when he had my sis and I and nows he's starting back up again.
my mom played basketball and was the captain of her volleyball team.
my uncles, aunts, and cousins are all amazing athletes.
many play varsity for teams like villanova, penn state, etc.
one scored 2000 points in a season and holds awards at villanova.
others are captains of varsity as sophmores.
my grandfather was a complete natural athlete so our family has tons of accomplishments.

my dad played football & baseball. outside of college he jogged a little. but he wasn't that good at running.
my mom was a good runner, but she hated it. so the best 2 mile she ran was like 12:40. she also played basketball & volleyball.

Re: How fast were your parents?
My dad ran track in high school but he did middle distance and his fastest 800 was 2:03 I think. The 4x800 he was on his senior year still holds the school record.
My mom never played sports and her brothers and parents never did anything athletic.
My grandma on my dad's side played basketball in high school and her team took 3rd at state one year. That was back in the day where the girls basketball team only played using half a court. My grandpa also played basketball.

My mom didn't play any sports, but in her younger days she walked everywhere.
My father didn't play any sports that I can recall, however he did run after his first heart attack (1973) and then continued to walk later in life. He also ran an XC race when he was in the RAF and came first.

My mom never did any sports, but she ran a 10k once when she was like 17. She doesn't know her time, but she said she got last out of like 1000 people. My dad ran track for a year after doing gaelic football and regular football in high school and he ran a 2:10 800. My uncle (not blood related though) ran a 3:00 marathon, a 35:00 10k and got a big belt buckle for running the western states 100 miler under 25 hours.

Re: How fast were your parents?
My mom played field hockey in highschool... I think. She also did crew later on... and I guess she was decent because she did it in college @ Williams... but then again, idk if their crew team was any good? She used to jog...slowly, she was never fast... but now she has really bad arthritis and can't anymore.
My dad didn't do anything except play baseball in highschool...I think. Or maybe it was only middle school.
So basically I don't really have any fast genes. None of my grandparents ran...one grandfather played football...I think in college too...idk about the other.

EDIT: oops, scratch the passing math class part, it's actually 15 minute miles

i doubt i could even stay awake for 24 hours even just sitting around watching tv, eating, and surfing the net. but still, dean is a clown and im pretty sure he got beat by a woman at badwater last week.

Re: How fast were your parents?
my mom was a thrower but they made them all do a time trial and told whoever was the fastest wouldnt have to do anything so my mom like did it really fast and ended up stuck in the mile. no way she was very fast tho because she was heavy.

Re: How fast were your parents?
My Uncle and my Track coach ran together on the same track team.
I don't know any of their times, but I know my Uncle did the 300 and 600 in Winter and in spring, my track coach was the starting leg of the 4 * 4 while my Uncle was the anchor.
Also, my grandma ran track when she was in school. I know she did the 100 but I don't know her times either or what other events she did.
My dad runs on his free time and does a couple road races here and there, but never did track in school.
