Now I've got you. There's no way a baby becomes gay when it is born, it has to be when the zygote is formed and the fetus gains genetic material. I just made you say the baby is gay from the beginning of their life, meaning you have admitted that life begins at conception and I have won the abortion debate.SourWorms wrote:FinishingKick wrote:So they're gay from the beginning of their life?SourWorms wrote:Not becomes gay, but is born gay.
Yes, in essence. although this is not realized until sexual maturity, based on what i have read, they are born with an abnormal hypothalmus

Re: Gay by choice or birth?
No, I got exactly what you were trying to do unfortunately. That is exactly why i worded my statement very carefully.
"they are born with an abnormal hypothalmus"
Development in the womb affects how all of us will turn out to be when we are born. I said born for a reason, because a baby is not alive until birth

Re: Gay by choice or birth?
I believe that it is both mental and genetic.
For instance, I think some people are born gay. They will be gay with no experience of liking men before hand or anything. Then there are those who are influenced some way to be attracted to the same sex. Like they started to see sex to early or something like that. I don't know the specifics but I have the general idea down.
One you can change, the other you can not. Either way, they should be treated with respect because like it or not they are people too.

I can't answer your question because I already explained to you that only God has the right to judge. We will find out in 100 years or so about Hitlers fate.
Hitler's fate? He died. That's all we'll ever know.

Me being someone that has a few gay family members, I've got to say it is something that just happens at birth and is not something just picked. & I don't think that they are "doomed to hell" either.

Birth, or at least in the fetus.
We're all going to hell anyways if the bible is literally interpreted.

Leviticus 19:19 basically says that if you wear any non pure fabric, that is a sin. So that tech shirt you have is sinful. So too is that pair of jeans or even anything that is made of more than one fabric.AudienceOfOne wrote:please read it before assuming crap.whenhen wrote:Birth, or at least in the fetus.

I didn't finish the bible when I attempted to read it (got bored), but I read an interesting book called Year of Living Biblically, which shows some really weird Old Testament sins.

Re: Gay by choice or birth?
I tried reading it when I was ten, I made it too about page 15 or so.
I think the only bible we have is meant for little kids, lol ooh well it will just make it easier to read .
I have a koran, I actually planned on reading that first before I read the bible.

before you can say things like that you need to know the background of the verse don't just read whats off the page.

leviticus is a set of legal rules--the priestly code. Obviously that doesn't apply to us. Do some research before assuming bud.

OBVIOUSLY. if you think you will go to hell for all that then you obviously skipped THE ENTIRE NEW TESTAMENT.whenhen wrote:Leviticus 19:19 basically says that if you wear any non pure fabric, that is a sin.
