Ya it seems like you are for the most part...but since it looked like you were debating with eachother, I figured I would take the side of one or the other... I'm still not sure if you guys were even taking different sides on the subject or not though lol.

Re: Gay by choice or birth?
Dude, I don't even know what side I'm on. Percocet has scrambled my brain. I really need to just stop typing.
In all honesty, though, I think that if you're in a safe, monogamous relationship and you happen to be gay, that's your business. I won't condemn you for it, and I won't treat you any differently for it. Whether God condemns those who are biologically gay and act on that orientation, I couldn't say, nor do I feel qualified to make that judgement.

And we have to keep in mind that God doesn't condemn ANYONE who believes in Jesus, even sexually active gay people.

I know thats why it was a two-part question =]

BagoXC25 wrote:Good thread. I'm on kugars side on this one. People can't control who they are physically attracted to, but they can control whether or not they have sex or not. I do have to say though that it would take immense self control not to have sex your entire life (unless you get married to a member of the opposite sex, some gays do this and have families.)
thats kinda sad how you cant be happy your whole life, just because a make-believe man doesnt like what your doing

So how are we to know, even in a case-by-case basis? You can't presume to know someone's heart, even using the Bible as guidance.
I really can't answer for all Christians--I am but a lowly Lutheran who's gone back to more traditional roots But I think I've expressed my somewhat muddled opinion (believe me, it will be different tomorrow morning once by brain clears up) already.

Haha.
I think we all agree.
Which is weird, because we've been debating for so long.

Re: Gay by choice or birth?
Lets be real, the bible was created to make people follow law by morals instead of law. The bible interprets homosexuality as a sin, it doesn't denounce it as one. God has never stated it, merely deciples. If you've ever listened to someone with an iota of more brain intelligence than your average redneck you would realize that homosexuality is chemical, not mental. Offsets of hormones and estrogen. The only choice in homosexuality is giving in to the pressure of constant fear of rejection and banishment. Saying it is purely mental is like saying the effect of drugs, OTC or illegal, are all in your head: you choose to let the drugs take control of you.

I can't answer your question because I already explained to you that only God has the right to judge. We will find out in 100 years or so about Hitlers fate.

I agree with Bago, only God can judge, but I'd guess he burning in the fire that is purgatory. One year for every life he took.

I was thinking the same thing haha (minus the one year for every life, just the fact that he will be there awhile...)
