Re: Obama vs. McCain
Agree with PTZ. Democrats don't want liberty, they want all society to help and contribute towards eachother, through laws. They treat people as parts of a greater machine (high taxes, public health, big welfare programs).
But the republicans don't want liberty either. They always interene with social issues, trying to create a 'moral' society, which just means christian values. I'd think this is worse than the democrats, so I don't think I'd ever back the republican party. It's like choosing the better of two evils. Also... no offense to anyone, but when you have presidential candidates saying 'my grandfather wasn't a monkey!!!'... I know it's different in america, but anywhere else in the world (except extremely religious states), anyone saying that would be laughed out of politics.
I'm glad here we don't have a two party system, cause we have a party which is like the republicans in leaving your money alone, and like the democrats in giving you social freedom. They have seats in parliament, which is pretty sweet.

McCain, all the way. Not for religious reasons, but because I believe that Obama, as a democrat, will try to make the government bigger, thus contributing to an exploding national debt and increasing taxes simultaneously. If the government would just do what it was created to do, govern, I believe that the nation would be in much better condition today.

+1. government was created to protect our freedoms with the smallest interference possible. these days it attempts
to control anything it can. not because it will make these things better, but simply because the government(as all people and organizations do) wants more power.
