    ZOMGZ, I DID IT!!!
Lol, I came on at 12:01 just to do this.

Probably resting today. This week has made me feel like a national elite as everything has been effortless yet fast. Like 4 minutes on 5% grade at 12 mph Cool

I also did a practice duathlon like a mad man. Life is good this week. Razz

So basically you went 5:00 mile pace for 4 minutes?

Anyway I finished my first weak of training at 23 miles, I'm hoping to be around 30 next week. Today I ran 4.6 miles at 7:45 pace.

Elite athletes easily hold that pace for like an hour. And that might be the stupidest workout I've ever heard.

What that was a workout? That's like barely breaking 3:40 for a 1200m.

Went out for 5.5 miles of tempo (That means fast, right? Like, as fast as you can go?) with a couple of kids from the neighborhood. We got a little bit of a late start so it was hotter than usual but not as bad as it's been. Definitely felt good--getting ready for some speed work this upcoming week to prep for a 5k!

no it is not as fast as you can go

a tempo pace is usually just a hard, EVEN pace the whole way. not all out. but a harder run.

14.44 mile long run. Overall pace, 7:05, although I epically negative splitted it (first half 7:34 pace, second half 6:38 ) and the last 5k was sub 20 pace on very hilly territory, so the last 3 miles were almost tempo. I'm on cloud nine right now Smile

Why's everyone doing such fast runs this early in base???

Anyway, 4 miles at 150 bpm.
Everyone told me heart training takes patience and then you see huuuuge results, but this might take a little long than I thought.
