Snow Day!

Reading the dailies I see a few of you got off today. Who got off today for snow/ice? How many have you had so far this year?

I think I had 2 2 hour delays (one was yesturday) and one day off (today).

im off today, its the second, maybe third snow day this year

1st day off for snow!

no delays so far.

exam week ftw!

2 days off including this one. That's it for snow but a little while ago when the crazy winds came we had 4 or 5 days off.

ive had 3 days off and two 90 minute delays because of snow and ice. its snowing like crazy again today and my road has only been plowed down the center of the road once.

I was going to skip my classes anyways today. Real lamesauce.

So far this is my second snow day. My school gets one more, and then if we get more it gets taken off of spring break. So we better not get too much more.
As for delays...I hope I get one tomorrow. I think we had five delays so far.

So are mine. Cause we have 31 trailers. I'm dead serious. I was freezing to death those days when it was like 3 degrees. And yet, we close or have delays a lot less than schools that have one huge building. Hopefully your school is more like a campus and not a trailer park like mine.

We do have trailers, only 22 of them though. I feel your pain! Five out of nine of my classes are in them and it's so miserable in the pouring rain/snow/cold, and are school is always that one school who doesn't close when everyone else around them does.

Yeah, our school's under construction and when they demolished half the school there was nowhere else to put us.

1 "ice day", and it was yesterday for rain, but on a side note we did have a 1 hour delay a couple weeks ago for a wind warning, we were like having a hurricane without the water, it was intense, I ran a 2 min 400, I was dead and it was supposed to be all-out.

yeah i've never heard of schools in trailers either.
we've only had one snow day this year which was today. and we've had no delays.

I know one school near me that was just built 3-4 years ago and they already outgrew it and they have trailors and some of my towns elementary schools have them.

Do you mean like portables?? Thats what we call them..haha Only they're usually really warm. I like it only my school has 7 of them, not 22 thats a lot.

lol how many students can u fit in a trailer classroom?

I think that my school has had about 4 snow days and 1 two-hour delay.
Next time we have a snow day, we start to go into our summer vacation. =(

Do you mean like portables?? Thats what we call them..haha Only they're usually really warm. I like it only my school has 7 of them, not 22 thats a lot.

Haha technically we call them "modulars" but they're really just trailers. Sometimes they're warm but the heat doesn't work a lot so we'll just go sit in the gym or something when that happens. They're actually pretty nice when everything works properly.
