It would be fun for a meet that doesn't matter or during practice but if the meet was important that part would piss me off.
On my homecourse we run through a stream at one point in the woods but everyone just jumps across the rocks that stick out. You cross that stream a few other times but it is to deep in the other places so there are bridges.

That would be so much fun!!! But +1 to what RWS said about if it was an important meet.

that would be an amazingly fun race. why can't we have something cool like that in my area.

You guys have got to be kidding me. If that happened for an important meet you could beat a lot of people you normally wouldn't provided you stayed focused and didn't let it get to you.

This reminds me of that video of the XC course that crosses a muddy stream and almost everyone falls.

There is a race in my area that we are going to TRY to get into next year where they have down trees to jump over, streams that you basically HAVE to run in because it's part of the course, and they water down all potetially muddy areas to make them REALLY muddy. They advise schools to create uniforms to wear (Decorate T-shirts) because it tends to get so muddy and they want the kids to just have fun.

By water jump does that mean you can jump over it with out getting wet? At districts last year (thats the race before states for those of you who call that race something else) the river flooded and there was parts that were basically a giant slip and side but with mud instead of water.

it depends on how far you can jump
the majority of people fall in though

That would suck towards the end of the season when its cold.
