but oh well, usually 22:10 would win my age group.

Re: amazing race!!!!
To be fair, a 14 year old girl will hardly improve at all when compared to a 14 year old guy. Unless she really has a lot of hidden potential she probably won't break 20 in HS.

Since when? Are you saying that because they mature quicker? Where are you pulling this info from?

Re: amazing race!!!!
My coach used to coach girl's track. And it is because they mature faster.
Have you ever looked at the results of an elite girl's meet vs. and elite guy's meet? Let's look at this year's Foot Locker Nationals race. Out of the 40 male runners, 6 were juniors, and all the rest (34) were seniors. In the girls race, only 16 of the 38 runners were seniors. 13 were juniors, 8 were sophomores, and 1 was a freshman. Coincidence?
Let's look at the top three teams from NTN last year. In the boy's race, 10 of 21 were seniors, 7 were juniors, and 4 were sophomores. In the girl's race, 5 of 21 were seniors, 4 were juniors, 7 were sophomores, and 5 were freshmen.
Science says it and the statistics show it.

Re: amazing race!!!!
i got that from hasay. lol, then i looked at more and if you look ar important races most frosh can compete with the seniors if the frosh are dedicated.Running With Scissors wrote:FinishingKick wrote:To be fair, a 14 year old girl will hardly improve at all when compared to a 14 year old guy. Re: amazing race!!!!
good job =]
and about the age thing your younger and better then me so I think its good. lol
I think its only those girls who look 17 in middle school that are fast are the ones that usually burn out or dont get faster w/e. Just my views on all that. I dont think she's one of them.

Saying someone won't improve because they are a girl is a ridiculous statement.

+1 on all counts. She won't improve as much as a 14 year old guy, but once she starts really training and racing consistently she should still see some huge improvements.
