Tough Tuesdailies
I've got a mile race today. Mile warm-up and 2 mile-cool down will give me 4 on the day.

Re: Tough Tuesdailies
5x1200m, getting ready for my big race on thursday.
I'll be out doing it at like 10 pm cause I got called into work, but at least it will be cool then.

Re: Tough Tuesdailies
7 kinda hard.
crazy hilly
I was expecting my HR to be like 180 but it was only 155ish.
When we got back I realized that my watch was picking up the signal from somebody elses HRM. So probably 170ish HR.

Re: Tough Tuesdailies
I haven't run yet because there are ozone alerts out so my mom is making me wait until 7:30 to go running. I'm planning on doing 6.5 easy though. I HATE SUMMER and global warming. I am going to DIE out there today...so if I don't post again, that's what happened.

Ozone alerts- in the local paper they sometimes say what the air quality is going to be for the day... today they said there was a much higher percentage of ozone in the lower atmosphere where it will be breathed in... ozone is poizonous in large quantities... so they recommend not doing a lot of activity with heavy breathing outside so you don't breath too much in.
And yeah, you're right about global warming and ozone not being related... I just did some research and it looks like my chemistry teacher was WRONG!

Re: Tough Tuesdailies
we have something like that in hk, but its called API, air pollution index. on the days it gets really bad, the kids with asthma get to skip out on PE (if its an outdoor lesson).

Re: Tough Tuesdailies
I don't know what I'm going to do today.
I was going to run this morning but it's wicked hot and I'd rather wait until I get home tonight (11 or so) when it's cooler. I'll probably do an easy four.

6.3 with the XC team. Not very hard, but I needed an easy day. My team hasn't really heard of easy mileage. I don't know if I can ever make them see the light.

It was really humid out today so i decided to run on the trails to get some shade. I started with my shirt on but it got too hot so i took it off and put it on a bench. When i came back along the trail i couldn't find it and it was too hot to look for it.

Re: Tough Tuesdailies
Yeah, ended up doing 6x1200m, in 3:55 average. 7 miles total. At first there was a cop car in the parkinglot by the track, then some hoodlums shooting off fireworks, then some random old lady smoking started cheering for me (I think she was being sincere saying how fast I was and shit, but really I'm not that good) Then some more fireworks.
