I say sultry because it's 41 degrees out. That's hot for this time of year.

    Anyway, Post em!

Practice at 9:30am, long tempo run most likely.

if u have ADD , u will hate it.
i dont have ADD or anything, but i had such a hard time concentrating during the middle of it. i got to school at like 7:30, and i left at 12:30. we got 3 breaks that were 5 minutes long. reading passages are lame, since i suck at concentrating at stuff i dont like.
but theres just a bunch of multiple choice questions that test ur reading/math/writing skills. then theres 25 minutes where u write an essay. and some of the math things are not multiple choice, so you write in an answer. pretty much the same as the PSAT but with the essay.
it didnt help that i had a song stuck in my head lol. (Ten thousand strong, by iced earth)

Great, I'm so screwed for the SAT's. I'm going to wait and take them in June, so they wont interupt with track.
Anway, I worked out with my trainer today. My hamstrings are feeling a little better, but he told me he doesnt want me running for the next two days. I'm actually really down right now, but he really wants me to heal from this. Ugh! This is the first time i've been "injured", and I' not liking it one bit!!!!

ughhh I have a problem staying focused on those really long reading passages..Then I find one thing to distract me like a string or something then I'm done. haha I wish I wasn't retarded, i'm not taking mine till spring then probably again in the fall.

Did a 5K today. Finished in 20:2x, so a good time considering this was my first week back to harder training.

I'm glad I don't have to do those SATs. They sound brutal.

Anyway, epic workout today. It was 40 degrees, so I wore shorts, but since it was 40, the whole trail in the park where we did the workout was either ice covered (with decent traction) or almost an inch of mud. Needless to say, not great conditions underfoot.

    The workout:
    2.5 mile warm up
    Strides
    A B C marches
4 x Modified outer loop of the park (1.86 miles)at tempo pace with 2 min recoveries. This was hilly, with 300 ft of elevation change each lap. I ran 12:26, 12:15, 12:10, and 11:42 for an average pace of 6:33.
    5 x hill sprints
High Knees, "Marching", Bounding, and Galloping
    5 x downhill sprints
    25 minute cool down

Total: 13.75 miles. A great end to a great week.

I should've taken SATs this winter because it wouldn't have interrupted with anything. Hopefully NJ has SATs in June as well...I don't mean to sound like an idiot, but do all states have SATs at the same times? I don't know if they do their own thing or whatever blahh.
