    Far From Paradise Fridailies

Post by Ria on Fri Jan 23, 2009 8:43 am

Ugh. So we had a 2 hour delay because over half the school(about 110; not including people who skipped the day) went to the March For Life and came home really late(that's a small Catholic school for ya, we get delays and cancelations for the most stupid reasons).

Anyway, I decided to take advantage of this delay and tried to do my run this morning. My hamstrings have been hurting(again!) and yesterday I had a horriable, slow run. Today I really wanted to do the 3x1 mile repeats my trainer wanted me to do...but after the first one, the time was SOO slow (6:53 Mad ) and I felt like I was going as fast as I could, but my legs just felt so tired. So, I decided I better just not run anymore today(even though I already took a rest day this week).

I feel like shit now, do you think I made the right decision? I just thought, well, I'd rather not run and feel better than run and hurt myself even more. What do you think? Sorry, this turned out to be so long...

Just take a couple rest days, maybe take an ice bath, and stretch!

Anyway, rest day from running, but hockey game tonight.

That's cool. I went to March for Life yesterday too, but only 3 people in my school went, being washington is like 4 hours from here, but anyways I have had 9 hours of sleep in the past 2 days and i ended up doing a timed ladder, it sucked, but atleast I get to sleep tommorow.

    eh nothing.

Got my orthotics, they made me run on the treadmill for like 15 minutes..does that count? eh my quads are really sore now, from only 15 minutes? Must be from standing normally?? hah yeah.

I had to run that after eating 2 huge enchiladas =[

    happy birthday!!

yesterday i had 1.5mi w/u, 4x500 (with 500 jog in between) in the park up this slightly gradual hill, 1.5mi c/d. my legs felt really dead on cooldown Sad

i need help making a decision, though. last week, i took off saturday and monday (saturday was my reg day off but on monday i tried to go out and my knee, which has been slightly bothering me for about 3 weeks, was in a lot of pain so i decided to just take off). my last indoor meet is this coming friday. should i take one day off this weekend? if i do, the day i don't take off will be about 9 miles. if i don't take off at all, it'll be 7mi one day, 5mi the next. help?! haha. i don't want to have too many off days, but i've had a couple small nagging things (knee/hip) and i don't want to be hurting too much right before my last indoor race.

I'm haing the same problem with my hamstring. I think you should just take the day off, rather than keep overworking the pain.

    Worst meet ever

    hour bus ride
two miles as a warm up
SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS LATER... I jogged an 800
That was such a waste of my life. By the time my race came around I didn't even care at all.

Oh, and I'm sick. So it was fun.
