Re: mo miles mondailies
mo miles is right! first day of 'official' practice (although ive been going to team runs 3x a week since early july)
soo despite my first day of running since wednesday (got wisdom teeth out thursday), it was mile warmup on the track and then i ran (with varsity?! it was confidence-boosting that my coachput me with them) a 6 mile loop but we did 2 x 800 uphill on it so it ended up being an extra mile. and on that last 800 i thought i was going to literally barf. it was kinda embarassing that the rest of the team (as in not the people who did the extra 800s, as in average people) was waiting where our 800s finished and i was last on the 2nd 800...not that i really care though. cause it's enough that i actually did it lol. so i felt great overall today! even though it was a hellish first day.
and i have a podiatrist appt in an hour. for my achilles. cause it pops and gives out and i don't know what...and it did today on the 800 hill we did (it always does on that trail, idk why) so im kinda glad just so i can like...tell the dr. what happens. cause it hasnt 'given out' in awhile.
that was really long haha. so yeah 8.5 total. and i biked 10

Re: mo miles mondailies
today first practice..
a.m: 7 miles (includes 4 runs up a half mile
hill at 5k pace, well in reality a lot faster than 5k pace, but thats
what pace it's supposed to be..a mile recovery in between each one..and
a mile warmup to get to this hill and a mile cooldown after)
In between runs we did this 18 minute lifting circuit then core/abs and resistance training.
p.m: easy 6 miles around the park
So around 13 miles on the day.

Re: mo miles mondailies
I ran with someone running at Notre Dame this year, 3 varsity members, a fast junior, and our fastest sophomore. Add in the fact that it was a tempo in heavy rain and the result isn't very good.

sometimes the best workouts hurt like a b*tch, just because you felt tired doesn't mean you wasted your time..
7.2 easy at 6:59 pace.....4 mile tempo tomorrow AM, 5.6 easy PM.....thinking about doing intervals on wednesday, considering I've avoided them all summer(should I run 5x1000 or just punch myself in the face? they'll feel the same)
