XC - Run in the 16's and get stronger. time doesn't mean much to me during xc because courses vary. I just want to win races above everything else.

Track - school records of 9:48 and 4:32. I want them in my possession. NAO.

    Your goals?

For XC, I'm not expecting the world. Looking at my team, it looks like there are 2 people absolutely entrenched ahead of me speed wise, and then two more who I'm 95% sure are going to be better than me when all the chips are down. After those four, it is basically me, a really fast freshman, a really talented junior, and two other seniors. The fight for spots 5-7 is going to be absolutely cutthroat unless someone gets hurt, but I feel pretty confident I can get varsity (all things equal, my coaches prefer the harder workers and the senior runners, so I'm pretty certain varsity 5-7 is me and my two classmates) So I'm hoping to be able to finish top 30 at my conference meet. Top 20 is all conference (top 10 first team, top 20 second team) but the talent drop off between the 20th and 30th runner is traditionally pretty large. So I figure that I can do it. Then I'm hoping our team makes it to the state open, Class S is pretty wide open next year, just about everybody good lost 2+ quality seniors last year, and we should end up with a pretty baller team for a school with 400 kids.

ANYWAY, for indoor and Outdoor track, I have list in my sig of times I want to hit. They are basically sub 5:00 and roughly equivilant performances is. I'm pretty much a lock for the 4x800m team next year (we have garbage on the track teams compared to XC) so that is a guaranteed all-conference in Indoor track (last year only 7 teams put up 4x800m teams in indoor, and top 6 went all conference. The 7th team didn't break 11:00 IIRC) And typically, an 11:10 3200m is going to get you all conference for indoor (my conference sucks at indoor). Outdoor things get tougher, It will probably take a 4:45/10:30 to go all conference, and there isn't a rats chance in hell I do that.

    /talk.

P.S. My school's 3k record is only 10:38 IIRC, only one person has ever raced it, since the 3200m is the norm in CT. If I get a chance to run it, I have a good shot at that record. My school also has a couple of other soft records, PV (indoors) is no height, No one has ever completed a Dec, I don't think we have a 2k/3k steeple record, and our DMR record is pretty soft. I might try to knock one of those out at some point.

XC- stay on varsity, get sub 20. Win our class meet,(got 2nd last year) get in top 6 @ meet of champions (states) so that we can go to New Englands... we missed by one point last year.

Track- Qualify for states in 3200...@ least provisionally. Provisional is 12:20, automatic is 12:00. Last year I got 12:27, less than a second per lap!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

Coach wants me at 19 flat for XC, but I don't think it's likely. I've done a lot of work this summer, so I'm hoping for 20s by the end of the season. I want to hold a Varsity spot (was JV last year), and top 3-5 seems within reach. It would be nice if we could take home counties and regionals this year--and I'd like to take a shot at states (the course is hell, though).

For track, I want to run on the 4x8 and to get my times down below 2:40 (right now I'm sitting at 2:49).

I'm not fast, so I don't really have any other goals.

But I didn't run at all last summer, and my practice 5ks have been better (I don't count them as PRs because they're flat).

I want my 5k down to at least 20. I didnt run last summer either, it was my first year and I got injured soo hopefully I wont repeat that, I've been doing a ton of cross training and stretches to help avoid that.

track I want 2.30ish for my 800..which is kinda asking alot but dagnit it will happen!! (pr is same a kugars..we're pretty much the same so dont worry about it) this year I felt was like a waste of a year since I didnt pr at all/was sick the whole time >=O

    time wise:
hoping 22s - 21s but im still not really sure what i can do i haven't raced at all this summer i've just been trucking away lol i feel like im a lot stronger though. after the first meet ill get an idea.
track not really sure yet depends how winter goes.
