well this year at least
a lot of our top guys left
we had 14.30's and 15.00 flat guys
track we had almost sub 4.15
Who ran a 14:30, they would be the best high schooler in the country. And if you can run a 14:30 theres a pretty good chance you can run around 4:10.
actually, 14.30 isnt the best time
at that race, the best time ever was 14.00 flat
so 14.30 isnt that impressive
a flat 3 mile course
in the sweepstakes race, 14.30 placed like 20 something
No
No

Dude if that was to happen for him to run 14 flat he could have run at the trials. He took 20th? Come on you attention whore.
Wow. You have no idea what you're talking about.
First of all, it depends on the course, whether it was flat/uphill/downhill, etc. However, 14 for a 3 mile course would still be considered an "elite" time for a high schooler (assuming the course isn't completely downhill). There are a few high schoolers this year who could have run that but not many at all. The course might be mis measured though (many are), because if the 14:30 took 20th in certain state.. that is very hard to believe, the only state that might have a chance of happening in is California and that never happened this year (this is to the previous poster who said that 14:30 got ~20th).
Second of all, what are you talking about @ King of Sting? If you can run 14 flat you could have run at the trials? First, the course might have been mis measured and a 14 flat is about 14:3x for a 5k. That is nowhere NEAR the Trials standards. You may have looked at the results and been like "Wow! Someone ran 14:00 here! That's not fast at all!" (probably in the semis I would guess, the slowest time in the finals was a little under 14)...Realize that all of the guys at the Trials had PRs much faster than 14:00. The slowest PR in the race was probably like 13:4x (and they probably did not make the finals). It's like saying that some of the high schoolers (German, Derrick) could have run in the Trials and placed among the top runners with their PRs. Well, you can't compare PRs in a championship race which is often very tactical. No American high schooler would have stood a chance in the 5k at the Olympic Trials, especially considering none of them would have qualified.
