Intelligent life outside of earth

Earth and Mars are the only planets capable of having life and Chuck Norris has already been to Mars; that's why there are no signs of life there.

Can you see planets? You're trying to tell me we're the only solar system with planets and the rest of the universe is only filled with stars?

It would seem pretty unlikely that in our nearly limitless universe that there wouldn't be some other intelligent life. Here's how I break it down:

Life: 100% yes.
Intelligent (sentient) life: Possible, but I'm not sure.
Contact with Earth: 100% no.

We could probably find out if people didn't have retarded morals that cause them to not want to do stem cell or cold fusion research.

2. Why don't we go to them. Oh wait we can't go that far because are we are not as a human race smart enough to travel light years away.

I wouldn't say we're not smart enough. What NASA and the world does towards the space program is absolutely amazing. It's the lack of resources and the human limitation that holds us back. We don't have anything that can move close to the speed of light and even if we did it would take years for us to travel to a spot that we don't even know exists.

Because life on other planets is probably not carbon based, so our instruments couldn't pick up on them. Besides, even if they were carbon based, there are 100 billion galaxies with billions of stars. All that's needed is for one star to have a planet with life (preferably intelligent), and chances are extremely high that we will never observe that planet.

honestly it would be complete luck to ever find life on a another planet. i doubt it will ever happen. but i don't doubt that there are millions of planets that have thriving ecosystems and intelligent life. a million planets would still only be 0.001% of the total planets out there for all we know

I think it's one of those things that we think will never happen, yet one day when we have technologies that we today cannot fathom it will be possible. If we don't kill ourselves by then that is.

By the time we have that kind of tech we will also have weapons that can destroy the earth with a press of a button and if that button gets in the wrong hands.
