As a runner my best compliment came this week:
You could win the JH Conference if you keep this up.

I think my biggest compliment was being awarded Male Athlete of the year by my school.

good job, i got hardest worker but i think male athlete of year is much of a bigger deal.

hmm, yeah i dont really remember compliments i recieve, as i dont get them too often anyways.
ooh wait, at like one of our last practices of the year for track, my coach was talking about how we can run over the summer and he said "make sure you run alot during the summer so you can have a sexy tan like alex's" since im the darkest on the team haha. i used to be super dark, but not so much anymore
my coach also said i had "an awesome physique" in PE class and made me take off my shirt so he could demonstrate how to measure body fat.
yeah, thats all that sticks out to me, nothing about my running though ahha

i have been asked by every school ive talked to about my running to transfer to run for them, multiple times
my 5k time is actually good around here. lol

I got most improved in XC the first year I ran it (sophomore), which was my biggest running related compliment.

My best ever compliment though was basically anything anyone ever said about my chinstrap that I grew for the hockey playoffs. It all involved how my chin strap was basically a beard of +3 charisma and my saving throw difficulty counter must only need like a natural 12.

I'm always the guy in second and that doesn't count for anything

Our schools most famous and successful coach told me he thinks I have the potential to break my HS's record 3200m of 9:12

I got a freshman award for outdoor at my school along with four other people, but at my school, top 5 in track is pretty good I guess.

I usually get recognition in road races. At the end of them people(adults) I don't know come and introduce themselves to me. And occasionally someone will tell me I have flawless form.

The morning of Penn Relays 2 years ago I went into school because my race was in the afternoon. && The kid sitting next to me yelled, "I'm sitting next to a famous person!". ahah.

I think the biggest compliment was when my coach told the team after one of our meets that, "I have never seen a person run a race better than hayley did on Saturday" Something to that effect

i got the coaches award and he gave a big speech how he wasn't sure about me coming in i was always pessamistic and then i ended up being one of the biggest leaders on our team even though i was a freshman and became the most optimistic person he knew and he had a pleasure coaching me and stuff i was like awwwww coachhh.

yes it does counts you get points just like the guy in first.

There are numerous parts to that post that are kinda creepy.

I've never really received any compliments on my running besides things like "You're looking strong." and at the beginning of the year "Good job, keep it up kid."

there is one award that a coach can give for each sport...its called the coaches award...and its given at the end of the year at the sports awards night. i got it for cross country and i felt so honored because even though i wasnt the fastest on my team by a longshot, my coach said i worked the hardest, was an excellent captain and example to the team, always gave everything i got in races, and that i was the type of person that kept her coaching...i cried lol

i cant even imagine what its gonna be like next year without my cross country team

well i don't really get all that many compliments. but i guess when my coach was talking to some other girl on the team and told me he used me as an example. he said he uses me as an example all the time. ha. and when my other friend said she wanted to cut off my legs and steal them so she'd be faster. haha.

I got a coach's award for outdoor this year.

I also got compliments after my first cross country race (I ran with one shoe, since I got spiked in the first 200 and was afraid to lose my position) to the effect that I'm a hard worker. Not fast. But I work hard

well it doesn't mean you're not a good runner. i'm sure that your team needs you and appreciates you.

I know that but I'm just saying its not the guy in second that gets to be in the paper

no offense funrunner but RWS has cleared all your pr's by about 30 to 140 seconds depending on the event lol
