CONFRENCE GRADUATE QUALIFIES FOR OLYMPICS

Josh McAdams from Brecksville High School placed 3rd in the 3k steeple chase olympic trials. He graduate from Brecksville high school in 2000 (i think). Brecksville is in the SWC conference, the same conference as my school, Amherst. My coach said he had about a 9:30-9:40 3200 when he was in high school. Not amazing, but still good. But look at where he is now:D

I could might get down to a 9:40 by the time I graduate. Probably not though.
But it still makes me think I still have a shot at being a good runner some day.

That 3200m could have been a bit old by the time he graduated. And don't forget his main event is the steeplechase, I'm sure his steeple time was much more impressive than that 3200m. Don't go thinking that if you get down to 9:40, you'll make it to the Olympics, very few people do.

Nope. PR'ed at the regional meet his senior year. Unless my coach is wrong but im 99% sure he was there.

Ok so the steeplechase is still his best event. And you have no proof that he didn't run the 3200m that much before then and therefore could've had a much faster time.

I think you might have a skewed view of what the average HS XC/track team is. Isn't Shen like the NY XC state champion team or something? Most HS XC teams never have a hope of competing in NTN like you guys.
