Running with Jewelry

Do they let you run with jewelry where you live? Here they won't even let you check in with watch on.

I saw a picture of a sprinter on Dyestat with 3-inch hoop earrings and I was thinking about how that would feel really weird.

they let us run with jewelry. i just wear a watch. the girls and a couple guys on my team race w/ earrings.

Yeah, they let us have jewlery. Not that I wear it though.

Watches are fine in XC, but that's it as far as jewlry goes. Very stupid rule, I don't understand it.

No you can't wear jewelry in my area. In swimming the rule is even more gay. You can wear a hair tie in your hair under your cap but if you take it off and put it on your rist you are DQed. Gay.

You can wear one religious item and a watch.

yeah same with track and xc. You can even wear hair ties on your wrists, or bobby pins. It has to be a headband..

One time I forgot to take out my (just stud earings) and we almost got DQed =/ luckily we didn't even do that well so the judges said it didn't really matter. haha

You can wear religous jewelry (like a cross) but you have to tape it down to your chest. Its something weird like that.

That's so stupid. Could you wear something on your head if it was religious? What about any kind of jewelry, you could always say you're a consumerist.

where i live, you can only wear a watch. you cant even have ponytail holders on your wrist. but that doesnt even make any sense b/c in the olympics you can wear as much jewlery as you want.

Everything but big hoop earrings are acceptable. We've had a guy come in with a massive dyed mohawk, 2 lip rings, and a bunch of spike earings, and it was perfectly acceptable albeit a little weird.
Where's the logic in not letting people have jewlery

Once at the private school meet I raced against a bunch of goths from Shambala (the same HS that Ellen Page went to) who wore chains, those spiky bracelets, and one had a fake moustache. I lapped them all in the 1500m.

We have those rules for swimming too

and same for track. No jewlery, nothing on your wrists

We can't have any jewlery, hair clips or pins, watches, more than 1 color hair ties, hair ties with metal...ect...
REALLY retarded.

Well....in my league, your not SUPPOSED to, but girls still do especially in xc. But when it comesto the bigger meets like finals, you get disqualified.

haha I typed it like 4 times but couldn't figure out which looked right! lol & I was a bit too lazy to go look it up...oh well you knew what I meant.

here no watches, wrist band(basically nothing on your wrists, or excess hair things that are not holding back your hair, no folding your shorts so they fit better, and no jewelry because ya know you might beable to stab someone with the earrings your wearing

you're not aloud to have anything here. i don't think you can even have head bands but i'm not sure. i always hide my bobby pins under my hair though and they don't notice.

no jewelry, hair-ties, watches, anything. no bobby pins either. just prewrap basically haha
i never understood how elites, especially sprinters, can stand having necklaces and stuff bobbing up and down
