You know what I meant. You think anything that science can't prove can't be real, which isn't true.

except it is true...i don't get what you mean by asserting that because i cant prove it, means it exists. then by that logic, invisible pink unicorns could very well be running around inside my house and i would never know it?

so i am guessing that if i were to ask you about Vishnu, you would say that he does not exist, and is only a figment of people's imaginations?

No, you don't understand. Back in 1300 AD science wasn't advanced enough to prove the earth was round or to discover things about the human biological system. Saying science can now prove everything is very ignorant.

And yes, Vishnu is an idol.

Yes and thanks to the Enlightenment we now can safely say that everything can be proved with science, even if we haven't fully comprehended it yet. All you are saying to us is that because we couldn't understand everything back then, God was relevant. Kind of null and void nowadays isn't it.

You actually think that everything can be figured out with science now? Seriously? We've been on the earth many thousands of years, and throughout those years you can find quotes from people who have said that science has reached everything, and everything that can be proved has been proved. Are you really ignorant enough to be one of those people that are laughed at by future generations because they thought that?

Incorrect. The ancient Greeks knew the world was round. They knew because when they were out on the ocean, you could see the top of a ship's sails before the rest of the ship. This knowledge wasn't entirely lost in the middle ages either, but it wasn't exactly kept. The Arabs knew the world was round throughout their history.
