Re: nxn team rankings/predictions
I definantly agree with the girls. You guys are so lucky you have never had to race against those Tatnall girls, they are WICKED fast. At the state meet that scored a perfect 15 (but they really shouldnt have, because one girl from a different school got 5th, but they said she interferred with the Tatnall girls final sprint, so she was dq'd...but they didnt have any picture evidence.). I was happy to actually stay behind their 5th girl for the first 1/4 mile. Oh, and one of their seniors is just peaking, so I think they are going to do really good tomorrow.FinishingKick wrote:Ok let's get this thread back on track. Top 5 predictions for NXN?
I'll start but I don't know that much about the central/western teams.
Boys:
1. North Central, Washington - Been number one all year
2. Naperville North, Illinois - Beat York by 3 at their state meet
3. Albuquerque, New Mexico - Ranked high, don't know much about them but they were good last year
4. York, Illinois - Lost to #2 Naperville North by 3 points
5. Shenendehowa, New York - Lots of potential, ranked as high as second preseason
Girls:
1. Fayetteville-Manlius, New York - Last year's champs, returning 6 or 7 runners
2. Saugus, CA - Ranked high, on good form
3. Collins Hill, Georgia - Ranked #3
4. Tatnall, Delaware - 2nd to FM at Manhattan
5. Jesuit, Oregon - Somebodies got to move up
I'm not sure on the 3rd-5th girls but the rest I put some though into.

Re: nxn team rankings/predictions
Here is my one guarantee: In the boys race, the northeast region will not do as good as everyone says they will. West Windsor Plainsboro, who I believe is ranked 4th in the nation, won the Northeast Regional at Bowdoin Park last Saturday. However their 5 man average would have gotten them 4th in the New York race only a few hours later at the same course.

Nope I havent but Collins Hill is in my REGION, one reason why we didnt make state, well of course they won region and state, but they are so sick that it makes our region the toughest in the state...

Re: nxn team rankings/predictions
OK so I was wrong about Plainsboro, but if Clifton Park's 5th man ran where he usually is though they would've had 3rd.
