I don't really know what to say about that course though. The freshman times are always really slow but the varsity times are fast. At states yesterday the course was hard and the top time in the state was 15:59.x with our first man .2 back.T B K wrote:FinishingKick wrote:16:15 full 5k on a slightly hilly course, maybe 16 flat on a flat one?amherst_xc wrote:im curious what your 7th mans time is FK

I'll watch the webcast like I did last year, but as much as I'd like to I can't fly out to Portland just to watch.AudienceOfOne wrote:It's still your team, and won't you still watch?FinishingKick wrote:Because everyone knows I'm going to nationals.AudienceOfOne wrote:11.Shenendehowa HS, Clifton Park, NY (15)

Haha your school can't afford to get buses to go watch NATIONALS????FinishingKick wrote:I'll watch the webcast like I did last year, but as much as I'd like to I can't fly out to Portland just to watch.AudienceOfOne wrote:It's still your team, and won't you still watch?FinishingKick wrote:Because everyone knows I'm going to nationals.AudienceOfOne wrote:11.Shenendehowa HS, Clifton Park, NY (15)

Who would bus to nationals? Maybe New York to Portland would make a good summer road trip but it would take a few days of driving, plus you'd have to get there a few days early so you'd miss a week of school. Not to mention how expensive that would be with gas prices, hotel costs, and the weird feeling you get running after such a long ride.AudienceOfOne wrote:Haha your school can't afford to get buses to go watch NATIONALS????FinishingKick wrote:I'll watch the webcast like I did last year, but as much as I'd like to I can't fly out to Portland just to watch.AudienceOfOne wrote:It's still your team, and won't you still watch?FinishingKick wrote:Because everyone knows I'm going to nationals.AudienceOfOne wrote:11.Shenendehowa HS, Clifton Park, NY (15)

FinishingKick wrote:Ok let's get this thread back on track. Top 5 predictions for NXN?
I'll start but I don't know that much about the central/western teams.
Boys:
1. North Central, Washington - Been number one all year
2. York, Illinois - Easily won the Midwest Regional
3. Albuquerque, New Mexico - Ranked high, don't know much about them but they were good last year
4. Shenendehowa, New York - Lots of potential, ranked as high as second preseason
5. Dana Hills, California - Ran well at Mt. Sac
Girls:
1. Fayetteville-Manlius, New York - Last year's champs, returning 6 or 7 runners
2. Saugus, CA - Ranked high, on good form
3. Collins Hill, Georgia - Ranked #3
4. Tatnall, Delaware - 2nd to FM at Manhattan
5. Jesuit, Oregon - Somebodies got to move up
I'm not sure on the 3rd-5th girls but the rest I put some though into.
"Heartland champs?" The phrase means little on the national scale. The Harrier wrote:Bismarck all the way baby! Heartlandchamps.runner-ups. Damn Wayzata.
heartland isnt all that bad? we're still part of the midwest, which is considered a powerhouse on the national scale (sorta lol)FinishingKick wrote:"Heartland champs?" Face it, you're a lot worse than the NY and SE boys sections. The Harrier wrote:heartland isnt all that bad? we're still part of the midwest, which is considered a powerhouse on the national scale (sorta lol)FinishingKick wrote:"Heartland champs?" Edited. My boys predictions are going to be way off but I had to put Shen up there and I don't really like Dana Hills for some reason.FinishingKick wrote:FinishingKick wrote:Ok let's get this thread back on track. Top 5 predictions for NXN?
