Post by AudienceOfOne Tue Sep 30, 2008 8:57 pm

went to my 7th grade brother's xc meet today. list of dumb JH meet crap i had to deal with.

    1. dumb lady with a mic thinking she's being a good commentator
    2. dumb lady that was talking to her little team about stuff, and says that somebody broke 2 hours in the marathon
    3. dumb lady that yells at me to not walk across the course when the nearest kid is 50m away and he's almost running.
    4. little freaky kid that couldn't have been older than 11 that comes upt and pokes me with a stick
    5. 7th grader on the school's JH team that didn't beleive me when i said i was on the HS team.
    6. little kids bragging that they got medals, when there were 25 people in the race and top 30 get medals.

    end of rant.

i was supposed to go to one last week to help out but my coach said i was missing to much time last week. junior high kids and the freshman are so annoying. expecially the freshman i swear we have a girl on our team that is a bird she sqwuaks all the time and makes weird noises.we make fun of her all the time without her knowing.

i like to help with the ms meets because itmakes me feel good that i can run faster than all of them. what pisses me off is the parents who think they're running experts just cuz their kid runs ms xc. wtf?

oh yeah... i usually read the mile times and there's always that kid who runs like a 24:00 2 mile...so i have to wait.

    Helped with one today..

Middle school track is in the fall this year..its weird. So we help out after our runs. I usually babysit my coaches kid or help my other coach with high jump. Some of the middle schoolers treat me like i'm an idiot and I dont know anything about track..others think I'm like really cool and dont leave me alone.

    haha I like them.

I love helping the junior high with there meets. Sometime I'll even help them pace during repeats because the high school gets out before the middle school so our practice is done before them sometimes

and yea i agree there are too many parents who think they know what they're doing. and JHers should not be allowed to run races if they walk more than a mile.

No need to get all offended about it. Geez. I was just saying that the naivety of the coach lady saying that someone broke 2 hours in the marathon just shows that she is COACHING the team, therefore they must be just as naive. Sheesh. Maybe you do know more than be about XC. I don't care. Good for you.
