How do you run up hills? Do you run up them on your toes?

Re: shin splints!!!
ummm...no, not really. i also have slight planter flachietis (big time sp! sorry) and its because i was running with the same shoes for 7 months. I went to fleet feet (which is like a profesional running/sports feet store, and they said that my arches are collapsing...so that might be why...
they were hurting the worst today. we went for a 5 mile run

Re: shin splints!!!
I love fleet feet! those people know me by name now.lol
But try taking a day or two off and just cross train, ICE , and maybe wrap them.
You can find some shin exercises on RW, one I looove is with an elastic band that you can tie to a bed post, slip your foot inbetween and basically just pull your foot towards your body. x12 on each foot, you can see the muscle move and everything.
good luck =]
