How many days has it been...

most ive ever run straight was 6 lol. U guys make me feel ashamed.

I didn't run yesturday and I debating running today or not. I have a 5mile race this weekend so I guess I have to run.

i'm surprised nobody else has been going a month non stop...

Is it okay to not take a day off every week? I do longish runs on Saturday/Sunday depending on the week and the other day I run easy. Plus when the season starts (meets on Saturdays) I'm going to have to do my long runs on Sunday and practice is Monday - Friday.

yesterday. i dont undersatnd how you guys go so long without a break. aside from the mental/physical toll that running takes, there are some days where i just can't fit it in between work, sleep, and whatnot. like yesterday, we drove to the lake and were busy ALL day doing things.

well you're older than most of us so you have more to do, and i don't think running is as much of a priority to you now but idk. i don't think there's many situations that would prohibit you from running altogether. wake up earlier/got to bed later if you need to.

well I already posted that I take a day off every week, but I would like to add that during the track season I only took a day off every 3-4 weeks b/c our coach didn't believe in days off. And in XC last year I instead of taking a day off I just did an easy 2-3 miles. But this summer I am so afraid of burning out that I'm being extra careful.

The longest I ever went will out a rest day is only 7 days

3 days. I took Monday off after my epic 19 miler. Before that it had been 13 days. My body likes a rest day every week though, or my legs get heavy.

Lol, same here.

I hate taking rest days because I feel restless, but I need to take them because I get very sore and fatigued easily and I really need that break. Sunday I'm always like, "ahhhh, I NEED to run!!" But then on Monday, I'm glad I didn't, so it all works out.

I barely had time to run a lot in my vacation, it put my first week in the twenties and my second in the thirties.

I take one rest day (with cross training of course) every 2 weeks. I will probably do the same during season too, maybe one every week. I'm just trying to do everything I can not to ge tinjured before my first college season. A lot of elites take one rest day every week anyways (German, Manzano...)
