Re: Sucky Saturdailies.
yea i know what you mean. when i did a crazy long distance, i overthink every little thing like blisters and stuff like that and it bugs the crap out me for hours.futureNIKErunner wrote:AudienceOfOne wrote:yea doing a random, crazy slow, 16 miler won't help you much. it is impressive though, i'm glad you're in that type of shape.futureNIKErunner wrote:RawBeginner wrote:futureNIKErunner wrote:AudienceOfOne wrote:+1, i did a double-take when i read his post lol.HXC_Runner2012 wrote:futureNIKErunner wrote:16 miles tonight

Since when have you done that kind of mileage?
wow
the distant was not the problem.
but my feet rubbed raw from my shoes along with the sweat.
last 5 miles were so slow and the most pain i have ever endured on a long run.
the sides of my feet are like shredded from blisters.
but i put in a kick the last 200m. thats when it felt like needles in my shoes.
but i pushed to the end. idc how slow i was going. my feet hurt so freakin bad.
what was your longest run this summer before tonight? the long run is about gradually increasing your endurance, it's not about randomly running 16 miles one night
10 miles
and a word of advice. make sure u have the correct shoes for a run
and to the last part of your post: duh.
thanks, the main problem was just the blisters, cause i was holding a decent pace for the first 10 or so miles, then the 85 degree didnt help either.
its not that hot. but its a long time to be out in it. im not even going to post my pace though, cause i havnt ran that slow since i was a fat and slow 7th grader.

Re: Sucky Saturdailies.
sorry miler, im gonna ruin this high mileage day for the dailies
after a long car ride, we finally made it to vermont. legs were tired but i went out for a quick workout. 1.5 mile bike to this nasty hill. 5 minutes warmup. 5 x 45 second hills (was gonna do 10 but i felt grosss). short cooldown. 1.5 mile bike back home.

Re: Sucky Saturdailies.
Midnight run, just got back haha. Had a funeral today, and wasn't in the mood to run until tonight. Pretty good run though, 7:10 pace for the first 5.5, then last 1.1 was 5:28 pace.
