so, what does everyone have to do for summer reading for school?

    For Economics- Fast Food Nation
Ap Lit- Ethan Frome, A Prayer for Owen Meaney
AP Bio- read 8 chapters and answer questions for each.
AP History- Franklin Pierce:martyr of the union Sleep , and either Summer of the Gods or Triangle. I chose Summer of the Gods.

so, what do you people have to do?

We only have to read Farenheit 451. It's only like 160 pages, but it's incredibly boring and terribly written. I hate how authors butcher English prose and we call their works classics.

well the entire high school has to read life is so good because the author is touring the area during fall. and my school is regional, with three towns. and NONE of the libraries around here have it. so pretty much everyone has to buy it. then for each grade you have a choice of five books. so i'm sure they'll be out of the library all summer long too, so i'll have to buy another book. ugh.

haha, I didn't think the book was too bad. I may have not got all of the meaning, but I have a general idea. in 8th grade I read it in like a night.

& I won't get a summer reading list until next year.

I'm in any honors class you can get in my school but the only give out summer reading projects for Honors English. I only have to read two since I'll only be a sophmore. I have to read To Kill A Mocking Bird and write a 5 page essay on it, then I have to read Anthem and write another 5 page essay on that book also. Most people fail the summer reading last year i got a D.
