Post by Tri Babe 518 Fri Jul 04, 2008 12:14 am

Does anybody else have this? Here in Hillbilly Hell, we have a magical thing called Dead Period, where you can't talk to your coach or set foot on your school track to train from June 25-July 9. I personally think it is retarded. I have to do track workouts at some random high school. Rolling Eyes

We're not allowed to practice in the summer at all, but we do anyway. Our school doesn't really realize that we exist, so we get away with it. Neutral

We have "Black Out Week" this week (first week of July) every year. The coaches tell us our mileage ahead of time, but they can't come to practice. Our team had the upcoming seniors lead practice all week. But otherwise we practice together as a team 6 Days a week, every week, all summer.

We can't have practice with out coach. So our number 1 just pretty much acts like our coach. A little later in the summer we go to the county park and act like our coach just happened to show up.

We just can't do anything the week of the fourth. We usually just meet up like usual and practice without the coach.

+1, Especially during the summer. If we ever do intervals during the summer (not often) it's in grass or occasionally on roads.
