indoor is sweet in ND cause it's unofficial and our winters last a long time to outdoor is in March. The means a long base, plus a fun and good indoor season (about 5 meets.)

?? really, huh that must be cold. Shocked

Still having track for two seasons seems like it would help me break my spring times.

    1) would it be better to run outside in bad weather, thus a slower pace or swim and bike?
    2) in your opinion, based off my pr's, can i break 11 in the 2 mile in may?

We don't have indoor track either, I'm planning on building to 45-50 MPW but mostly just going to try to run as many days (despite the crappy weather) as possible.

    1. Running is going to help your running more than anything. Swimming is a really good cross training though.

    2. May is a long time away and if you train hard until then you'll probably break 11. Last year I was running 18's during xc and then I ran mid 10's 3200s during the track season

you're suppose to take a break before winter training right?

Some people on rws are making me second guess myself, but I'm pretty sure thats what I've been told. How long should it be?

I am really really hesitant to take any time off; I get out of shape very quickly. Can I just take like two ridiculously easy weeks instead of two complete rest weeks? Neutral

If your not injuried or anything sure. I only took 3 days off from track before starting xc base. I'm taking a month off now though because I want to make sure my ankle is healed 100% before I start running again. Swimming starts in 2 or 3 weeks though.

My season isn't over for another 3 weeks. Since I am injured, I'm thinking about just taking the next two weeks off and then starting back with swimming and running really easy. In about a month, I'll probably start strength training for my legs because I think if I had stronger quads and calves, I wouldn't be injured so often or so severely.

    Is this a good plan?
