Just curious especially for other states that come December are frozen. Not including people who do indoor because that's cheating :o
I ran this Winter up until like Dec. 20th maybe but then pretty much stopped till Feb. because of snow and cold Sad
I'm thinking about trying to go all/most of Winter this coming year, but I'll probably get a gym membership to use some treadmills and bikes indoor.

i do winter track and we dont have an indoor facility to train at so we just have to dress warm. there have been times ive come home and had to soak my feet for like a half hour to get feeling back, its painful! but if i wasnt forced to run at practice every day, my winter mileage would definitely be slacking

ya, running in the winter sucks. indoor track sucks. I love track, but I hate indoor track if you get wat im saying. for one we don't have an indoor facility and it's cold. anyways seconds off I not as good in indoor because your in the turn more often which is a lot worse for me because I really don't have any turn over, I just have a really long stride. 3rd. I hate being in a pack, usually I just say in the back till the end, but in indoor you have less time and less room to pass, so I have to start fast which throws off my stradegy. Sorry bout that rant, just had to get that off my chest about how much I hate Indoor.

It's definatly hard to get out and go running when it's dark by 4pm, and you have hockey practice, and a bunch of schoolwork. Not to mention it's below -20 with a helluva windchill. But I get out there, and keep running, although my mileage isn't nearly what it is in the summer (time contraints mostly, then some motivation)

    I hate indoor....

Sometimes we'll all go out together and de-ice the track (which takes forever). When I do run, I like to run with others instead of by myself. That way, if I get hit by a snow plow or whatever, someone will be there to get a good laugh out of it.

we dont have indoor track..we barely have outdoor.
I barely ran at all this winter...sheer laziness blush and its hard to get down my hill when its icy, cars go off it all the time, so I try not too bother with that (excuses, excuses I know.)

but when I did, I just underamored-it up. I got a gym-membership so now I'll be able to work out more in the winter. Dumb teadmills >=/
