6.4 miles. I had to run barefoot today, since I couldn't find my shoes so I wore some converse which basically killed my feet after .5 miles. So then I went sans-shoes and my feet oddly feel good.

Had speedwork today for practice, did absolutely terrible
We did:
.5 mile warmup
4 * mile
.5 mile cooldown
My mile splits were 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 6:53
Not only did I get worse each one but two years ago when we did miles in held splits around high 5's/low 6's
Did core after practice, might do some drills later on
5 mile day

Question: Tomorrow we have a scrimmage. Last week we did a mile time trial and I came in 14th. 13th was 4:55, I was 5:05, 15th was 5:05, and 16th was 5:18. 15th won't be running because of an injury, so I'm in the middle of a fairly large gap. I was thinking I would just run with the 5:18 and out-kick him, but my friend said I should run my own race, even though I don't think it'd going to make a difference in where I place on the team. the course is 2.65 miles so I'm not even going to get a common time like I would if it was a 5k. What would you do? Go all out and run my own race or run easier with the next man down and out-kick him?

FK; Just my two cents but you really should run your race. It'd be good if your race didn't rely on anyone else.
We did 5432112345 today. Good stuff!

3x1 mile 5k trail loops at hard pace
* i kept a steady pace that I knew I could keep for 3 repeats, so they felt good.

800 warmup
4.5 miles moderate.
6x100m strides
later: gym
core and etc..
ugh I hate stoplights. I got stuck at one with a friend because we started the workout a tad behind everyone else and we had to stand there for 3 minutes while everyone else was running and getting ahead . ergh
