it's a ton more than that.

and i love it how catholics accept science when they say we evolved from monkeys, even though science also says the dead can't be raised to life(Jesus). i don't understand how that works, i'd love it if someone could explain that. it's stupid to believe in one and not the other, they void each other out.

how can you choose not believe just the first part of genesis because scientists told you so, but when they get to the NT, then you choose to figuratively close your ears? even atheists should be able to understand my view on that.
    It's a miracle!

    From dictionary.com:
    miracle
    1. an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.
    2. such an effect or event manifesting or considered as a work of God.

See I believe there is probably a greater force, I don't think in any way this can be humanised, sorry if you believe in Jesus, but I believe there is probably a person, called Jesus. I just don't believe in any of the 'miracles' if your right I will burn in hell, if I'm right, millions probably billions of people around the world have wasted their life.

    i get what you're saying.
but i'm saying, why can't you believe that he created the earth the way HE SAID HE DID in instead of trusting in what we know? if God can defeat death than what's so hard about creating the universe the way he said he did it?

so you're telling me that God can raise the dead and save people from death, but he can't create the world the way he said he did?!?

    Isaiah 40

13 Who has understood the mind of the LORD,
or instructed him as his counselor?

14 Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him,
and who taught him the right way?
Who was it that taught him knowledge

Quotes such as you are merely grasshoppers who are you to question the lord and whatever else, really annoys me, it is stupid who am I to question God, who are you to tell me not to question this God?
If it makes you a stronger believer great, however telling me to no question it is like when people don't question their government it doesn't work.
    Please don't.

Isn't that called circular logic? It would be like me saying a paper that someone else wrote said I can't lie, but that that paper is written by me. I'm not trying to compare myself to god fyi.

so you're telling me that God can raise the dead and save people from death, but he can't create the world the way he said he did?!?

    Isaiah 40

13 Who has understood the mind of the LORD,
or instructed him as his counselor?

14 Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him,
and who taught him the right way?
Who was it that taught him knowledge
or showed him the path of understanding?
Just because he can doesn't mean he would've had to.
in the bible it says God can't lie, it also says scripture is God-breathed.

are you calling God a liar?
A story can be a representation.
and you don't think he would have said that the stories are just representing things?
He might've, but it was the old testament. I trust the new testament a lot more.
