9-12 miles a week doesn't consitute true base training

I never said it was.. and i've doing a ton of cross training. I'm just so freaked out and cautious about injuries, since I killed my xc season last year =[

I know I know, and I'm actually starting to up my mileage now, today I did 5; I want to do 25 this week.

    37 I think.

I've been slacking. Need to mess with my routes a little bit, maybe go faster. I need to hunt down one of my teammates to run with, or maybe just screw with my pace a little. Definitely discouraged with mileage/progress thus far....
