Feeling Stronger every day Empty Feeling Stronger every day

Post by Trackaholic Sun Jul 06, 2008 12:40 am

A few day's ago I finished a ten mile run in an hour flat. The first 7 miles were uncomfortable, but the last 3 miles were so easy I did not even feel them at all. Personally, a month ago I was straining with 6:30's for 6-7 miles so I am feeling ready to move into a whole new level of training, feeling stronger than ever.

Cruise Intervals, 6am tommorow morning! need to get some sleep, just going to get in one more post and be off.

Anyone else seeing improvements in there training?

I'm down to low - mid 7s for my easy runs, and my mileage last week was the second highest I have done.

That is what happens when you run more miles than you can handle. scale back the mileage and you will feel better.

I dropped my mileage down from 35 to 25 mpw because I was having some knee issues, and not only are the knee issues gone, I'm training about 1:00/mile faster on ALL my runs. I just took on more mileage than I could handle, and needed to drop down and add mileage slowly.

i dropped my mileage the past 2 weeks because ive been so busy but ive felt great on my runs. on my 4th of july road race (which was 1.7 miles) i ran like 25 sec/mile faster than my 2 mile PR (although ive only run the 2 mile two times lol).

Anyway, I guess I've been improving because my pace and HR have been dropping.

    I don't think I'm going to see the type of improvements I saw from 7th to 8th grade though....5:54 1600 to 5:04 1600.

thats how i was in track i absolutely hated it i didn't care about races and i just hated it so much and wanted to do soccer lol. and then i took three weeks off after track and realized that i do really love running and stuff and i wouldn't ever be able to completely stop. it was just like i was mentally burnout or something i never felt like that before. but now im so happy and ready to run and its soo great lol.

yeah i have to wait until late fall to take my break, or early spring before track, cause right after track i have a big 10k race, and then another one 2 weeks later. that i do every year. and w/ my camp i cant get out of shape for that.

because i do love it and enjoy it, just the roads around here are getting boring. and i love running around people or @ least in new places. i have been running in the same roads for years, and it gets to me maybe more than it does to others.
i would really love to run w/ someone or @ least around people like in town.
