I love the 4x800 relay. It's weird, I've come to a point that I feel naked when I run without a baton. Ok that sounds messed up.

But I know what you're talking about (kind of). I ran two 800s at a meet once, and the first one was a relay. About 300 meters into the second race, I nearly had a heart attack when I looked down and I didn't have a baton
