Kenyans don't spend time on the internet because they don't have internet. Also, I don't think they know so much about sport science as we do in running. They don't analyze fast twitch and slow twitch fibers, they don't have the complex drills we have, etc. Westerners could just be training the wrong way the whole time. We can't deny that the training in the U.S. is a lot more complex than that in Africa. Ask any Kenyan to define aerobic capacity or mitochondria and they will have no clue. Doesn't it ever seem like this is the case most of the time?
This guy (who says he is going to the Olympics, despite his PR in grade 10 of ~5:40ish) replying to ExPhysRunner (a well respected poster on RW) who said "Devnull, you really need to stop posting and get with your coach. The Kenyans do not spend time on the internet."
