It has everything to do with this because you are saying these are harmless drugs, which is true, but they lead to harmful drugs.

You still haven't answered how this has to do with anything. Making drugs illegal does nothing to restrict availability.

to some extent it does restrict availability, you may be right for those that look for it, they can find it, but it is nothing like having them on the shelves in supermarkets in everyone's faces

But then wouldn't you want alcohol and tobacco banned?

Alcohol doesn't harm anyone else if you take it in moderation and you don't try to drive a car. Tobacco won't harm anyone else if you don't smoke it around other people. This being said, I wouldn't mind if they were banned.

    my thoughts...
some drugs should be legalized that do not really fuck people up that badly. i.e. weed, lsd, shrooms, salvia (already legal), peyote.
alcohol is legal and just as dangerous any drug i have listed here.
its just drugs such as meth and heroine have no way they can be used safely and should therefore remain to be completely illegal.
Isn't that the same with all of them?

    no not at all.
alcohol can be consumed safely, cigarettes can be consumed relatively safely in respect to others. weed can be used safely, same with shrooms, lsd, salvia.

by safely i mean these will not kill you with one dose/hit/drink as opposed to heroine or cocaine where one hit could be your last as it is so easy to OD

I agree with the whole drug companies deal...that would work a lot.
If there can only be one drug that's legalized, I would say weed. Like some of you guys said, it mellows you out, not turn you violent, and if alcohol is legal, why can't weed? Oh well, it's not my problem since I don't do drugs or drink. Smile
