You're probably right where you should be BMI wise. Unless you have extra fat (which at that weight I doubt) you're good right where you are. FWIW, I'm 5'7 and 140ish, and although I've got a bit of belly fat, I'm not worried about my weight really.

Chances are it'll will be near impossible to lose 10 lbs, because you said your leg muscles are basically popping out which indicates very high muscle mass.
Losing 10 lbs would make you underweight btw, so you don't want to do that. You could lose about three lbs by eating healthier.

No McDonalds or anything that tastes good.

Both the people in your avatar (I don't know which one you are) look to me like they are at a healthy weight.

That's a normal bmi, not anywhere near overweight, its probably all muscle anyways.

I really, really think I could run faster and be overall stronger if I lost weight, but its a pain to count every single calorie and stuff and I was thinking of doing weight training or something... maybe that would help?

well lean muscle burns more calories throughout the day than fat. so basically, if you do lift weights you may get bigger at first, granted you won't come anywhere near looking like a body builder,

by lifting you would be having your muscles use protein to gain and fuel your new lean muscles rather than storing it as fat

you may not lose weight, but any fat you do have (which looks very minimal by your avatar) will be burned and you will actually be thinner

It's as someone said on RW a long time ago, "If you have any obvious fat deposits, you can afford to lose weight." This doesn't mean starve yourself, I think it is more like an exercise such as crunches. If you don't have any one place you want to lose weight from just start eating healthier foods but don't count calories. If you're really concerned about your weight ask a doctor.

I thought I needed to lose weight when I first started running, but I realize now that I won't get faster; I'll probably get slower. When I first started running, I didnt have a good diet and I was a little underwieght and I would go for a run on and empty tank,a dn man would my performance be sucky! So, now I just try to eat healthy and not count calories and I stopped weighing myself and I look at my body in a different way. What I used to believe was fat popping out from my midsection in actually muscle (with some fat, I am a girl afterall). I work hard in my training and losing weight will not help, only how hard you work during your training will help you get faster. After almost 4 years of dealing with eating disorders(never diagnosed, but I know I did), I am finally learning to love my self and my body thanks to running, but I am not trying to gain wight (or lose it), I am just trying to stay healthy. I hope this helps.
