does ur school have any like things u have to do before during or after a race?
    for me
before every race, my team would get together and drive down to the closest Olive Gardens
everyone would order the endless pasta bowl
and like the whole team would have an eating contest
its so fun cuz i can only get through like 2 bowls lol
and some crazy eaters woulld go for 7 (lucky number)
during the race my teamates have a chant we like to yell
our school name is west high
and like our team would stand side by side on the border of the course and yell
west is best screw the rest
but then our coach would get mad and like yell at us cuz its inappropiate lmao
plus every year the last race
our top runner would shave a W on top of his head
and he would have our school color painted over his body
after races we always go to pizza hut to celebrate
    and ofcourse
theres always that group of potheads that get high after races lol...

before a race we run down to an italian place, then to a frozen yogurt shop
After a race, the ASB person on SRLA screams into the PDA "SRLA just ran ____ many miles in the ______ race. S R L A woo!!!!
Midway through a race, one of us, usually me, blasts out thriller from her speaker mp3 player, and we dance to it while running.

    We pray before every race.
    We make T-shirts/sweatshirts every year.
We don't talk to boys the day before we race Wink
    We have pasta parties.

In the last two years we got kicked out of:

    Target
    Target again (different time)
    Walmart
    Circuit City
    A local pizza place

If you want the story of any of them just ask.

Well the target (1) and walmart were during a xc camping trip and the camp ground is right next to these places and the circuit city was coming back from xc camp over the summer
then the second target wasn't the entire xc team but it was just xc runners

the pizza place is right across the street so we go there all the time

i cant think of any traditions off the top of my head

    except monkey ball relays

every year after our 4th meet we have this workout...

its a 2-man 6 mile relay. you get paired up with a partner and you run alternating 400's for 12 laps each(6miles;)

he matches us up so were all really close together and afterwards we go to our famous hotdog heaven:D and eat.

    OH and our cheer

"FEEL THE RHYTHM FEEL THE RHYME GET ON UP ITS BOBSLED TIME!"

well not OUR cheer but its our cheer that we do:D

we do what is called the wiggalo, it has been done since i was a manager in like 4th grade and im a senior so that is a long running tradition. this year we always sing oh hot damn this is my jam keep me partying until the am. before our race. and we all get in a circle put a foot in and someone does eenie meenie minie moe and whoever the person lands on is supposed to have a good race.

    i love our little traditions!
the day before meets we have fun days and we play
ultimate frisbee and basketball and just play around
and do a light run. and later in the season we have a
CUPCAKE RELAYYY! it's my favorite. me and my friend
were just joking and said we should have one. and we
ended up doing it. we run the first 800m of our course,
which is a loop, and before the next person on your
team can go you have to eat a little cupcake. haha.
    it's the best.

we also always make up random cheers before races
depending on what we were talking about that day,
and we make tie-dye shirts each year. and after wickham
invite we always go to andover pizza (:

haha we do that only we hide under a bridge. OR we go to a guy on the teams house and eat ice cream sandwiches then run back. (only on the day before a meet)
