Its funny.. we had our lahar walk the other day, and thats when our whole school has to walk our xc hill workout... they say when ever the mountain decides to do w/e that we have like 20 minutes to get out of the valley and like 900+ feet up (mind you the bottom of the hill is only 1.4 ish miles there) everyone was complaining that "ohhh I"m soo totally going to die, I mean thats soo far awaaayyy I'll probably end up walking..." uh huuh. Rolling Eyes

I told them it really isnt that far and then i got the "shut up, you do xc " Neutral .

    hmmm just thought I'd share.

One of the freshman on my school's girl's xc team just set a new course record of 16:11 for a 2.7 mile course
She hasn't even had any official running training before that, like soccer, marathon training, or middle school track

You're the only one who does marathon training.

I wanted to do longer distance but then thought it would be useless because you would never race more than 10K in college let alone high school.

Both of the middle schools that feed into my hs have marathon training programs.
Do you race a 10k xc like thing in college, or a 10k around a track?

lol our entire rugby team (which is about 30'ish guys) just got in huge trouble cuz they were caught drinking booze on one of their trips. so now they've got detention for an entire year, they've lost all their free periods, lost school trip privelages, and cant go to prom.

    sux for them lololol.
