I'm not really sure about this, but can you really call him the greatest olympian of all time?
Yes he has won the most gold medals, but not every sport has the same amount of chances to win medals as swimming does, so is it right just to base it off medals?
Idk, I still think he's the greatest swimmer of all time, and maybe the greatest olympian but I don't think it's right to call him that considering all the other great athletes in the past who did amazing things with their respective sport, but just didin't have 8 chances to win gold medals.
