It's time for a change.

Every member of this site knows about our little problem with trolls lying about their identities. What do these people have in common? They all claim to have great (but not quite outstanding) PRs in various distances. What I propose would put an end to this once and for all: we all stop discussing our PRs. We rid ourselves of the PR section and PRs in signatures. The only time PRs should be stated is when goals and training paces/advice are being discussed (as well as the occasional celebratory post). This may seem drastic to some, but it would go a long way towards ending this problem that has plagued us ever since Yavapai.

Why? That will solve nothing. We will still have trolls.

Times shows your abilitys. Its like saying that we shouldn't tell anyone how old we are. I would take advice from a 4 year vetran senior who runs 5:05 mile then from a freshman who runs a 4:35 mile.

1 we ignore them
2 stop making topics about them
3 keep their bans in private


I mean this isn't some tough sociology project. If you don't like a person, you usually don't talk to them. Every site has trolls, don't act like we're special and there is actually a way to stop assholes from being assholes. You make them irellevant and they become that.

I don't think we need to do that. We just have to deal with them in a mature way when they come and ban them as soon as we're sure.

Unless the new members are asked to come her from RW, anyone we don't know should have to gain our trust or they're out.

most of the time we know a person is a troll soon, so if he starts acting like an idiot and tells us the freakin fast times. i say we ban him right then and there. but quietly, dont even draw attention to the fact he is gone.

i actually agree with you though. i want to know if the advice is coming from a 5:45 miler or a 4:30 miler.

what would we say if a guy on the same level as Sub5 would start posting here regularly? there's a chance we might kick off some pretty elite people if we keep acting like this.

We're only kicking out the "elite" Jyoung and all of his accounts. The rest are fine.
